I've always enjoyed playing musical instruments. While I've learned one well, I enjoy picking out a few tunes on others. Music has always been a part of my life,
In January of 2007, I started doing Morris Dancing. Morris is an English folk dancing tradition.
In Morris dancing, we wear rag coats and bells and use sticks that we hit against other sticks to make the rhythm. I do Border Morris, which is a high-energy dance that can be silly at times. I find this to be great exercise. You can see me doing a dance at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NB-8iAhKFQ |

I've been playing the sax since 1980. I own two tenor saxes (an indestructible Vito and a Selmer SuperAction 80), and enjoy playing classical and big band music. (and yes, just like in the picture, whenever I play my sax, flame comes out). I love to play the baritone sax as well, and would like to purchase one someday. I played in the Oklahoma All-State band in high schooll one year I was second-chair tenor sax and another year I was first-chair baritone sax. In addition, I marched with the Pride of Oklahoma (University of Oklahoma marching band). |
I also play the hammered dulcimer and clarinet. I can pick out tunes on the the recorder, harmonica, and bamboo sax. I sang second tenor with the Denton Community Chorus for a season.
